Explain the difference between Vermeil, 14K and 18K.Updated a month ago

Aurate offers Vermeil and 2 rates of gold – 14-karat solid gold and 18-karat solid gold. Measured in 24ths, 18-karats denotes 18/24 parts of gold while 14-karats denotes 14/24 parts of pure gold. The remaining percentage is an alloy added to enhance durability of naturally soft gold, allowing us to guarantee our gold for life.

As for Vermeil, it is a base of sterling silver plated in 2.5microns of real gold, ranging from 14-22k, known for its high quality and affordable price point.

You will be able to find the available rates of a design on the product page. Please be aware the color and style might vary, but all fit within our quality standards.

All jewelry must be accompanied by a metal stamp for authentication purposes marking its rate. However, it is important to note that the inclusion of a logo or maker mark is not mandatory for sale. Its presence or absence on certain products may vary.
